Well - it pains me to do this, a scant one year after purchasing this right here from another Polkie, but you can't hang on to everything as the saying goes... With the purchase of Neil Young's Pass Labs amp, I had to make a decision to thin the herd, and as much as I really love this McCormack, I have decided that I'm going to bite the bullet, bring my DNA-1 back with me to CA, and drive it down to SMc for gold revision upgrades and part with the DNA 0.5 instead. Hopefully I don't regret it, as the 0.5 tends to be reviewed as the sweet spot in the DNA lineup, but I just have history with my DNA-1.

This amp has power aplenty, and doubles it's rating between 8 & 4 ohms - (100w into 8 and 200w into 4) and I'll say from experience, that's not your average 100w to begin with. Much has been said/written here about McCormack, and I'm definitely a fan-boy, so let's get that out there, ultimately though, I found McCormack to be my first step into a different level of amplification when I jumped in, and I'm not leaving, I'm just choosing to invest in the larger of the two McCormack's because I want to see what that puppy will do when it's upgraded.

This bad boy has had very light use (1 weekend a month plus vacations for a year) and is not even burned in completely on the revisions.

    I'm also "lucky" I didn't see this until it was over.... I'd be welcoming my amp back to its home.
