FS: Vampire Wire, 10ft pair

No markings on the jacket. 1/2" inch thick, 3 pos cables, 3 neg (6 total for you math wizzes) in a twisted helix. Terminated with Vampire Wire Banana Plugs on one end, spades on the other. Nice heavy cables, similar in gerth to MIT Terminators / Aq Granite, etc.

The spades are chewed up, and will need to be replaced or re-terminated with nanners or pins - or just go bare wire.

If I recall correctly, a $300 set of cables - shipped to you door for $30. Good cable, I'm just tired of tripping over this stuff.

I'll take a pic if I get a chance tonight.

Cheers,
Russ

First of all, I posted this on 2 forums, at the same time.

Codey, my apologies, but another member sent a pm on the 'other forum' 2 minutes prior to yours.

Reel, you're fast for a man of size - but not fast enough. Keep up the good work!

    Cheers,
    Russ

    Faster,

I don't need to justify ANYTHING to you, Gidrah bought the effin cables - pm'd me 2 minutes prior to Codey, but did so on another audio forum I frequent. I've already PM'd Codey (last night), and let him know I'm working on something else for him.

I've never had any questionable FM practices, have you?

One thing you will never have to question is whether or not YOU ever have or don't have dibs on anything I sell. I flat out won't sell you to, why? I don't like you. Hows that for a rule? It's actually a pretty popular one among a large group of members here, you just don't know it.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Well, you're the forum victim, I wouldn't expect any less. As far as what others may or may not 'think' about me - do you REALLY think I give a rats ****?

Let's just put it this way, I'm not loosing any sleep over it, nor wasting anymore of my time on this $30 cable post.

If your not allready aware of the extent of Russman's good character and reputation in the flea market, please research it before you post. one of, if not the safest members to deal with in a transaction. my humble suggestion is to let this thread and issue die.

Not if he's willing to give us a shot at a $300pr of cables for $30 shipped, sounds like a rip off  . Altough us first would have been nice but to each his own, there his to do what he likes and sell where he wants.

    Dave,

I thought the rule was, sell here first then the world (, otherwise, you are not helping the board). Not trying to start a pissing contest, just wanna help in establishing the rules.

What is stopping another member from posting a sale here and, say, e-bay (I know this is an extreme example, but I am a worst case scenario kinda guy. Mind you, many have been flamed for this one, including yours truly) at the same time?

No question that Russ is a stand up guy and his intentions are good. Just want to help minimize flaming wars. Not good for the board in my opinion.

    Going back to lurking...

    Sincerely,
    kibro

How many of y'all are the types that will sit and think about something for such a long period of time before you actually decide what you want to do?

Are you under the impression that Russ (or anyone else for that matter) is obligated to wait for you to make your mind up? Russ didn't post his stuff on Ebay and tell you if you wanted it to go and bid. THAT's where people have a problem with Ebay ads being posted here.

I had 16 or 17 pairs of LSi7's that I pushed to the Bay because most people were too wishy-washy here. Is that my problem? Nope........

Those of you that **** for any reason you can as it pertains to why you didn't get something for cheap need to look at yourselves......not the person that's out to sell something.

    Lastly.........Faster.......shhhhhhh........

if you sell something in here and somewhere else.. you not mention that your item is also going to be sold on another site.. be it Ebay, Audiogon, private auction, another forum, local sale.. etc.

keep it to yourself.. the seller reaps the benefits. and we don't have to endure the fallout.

    cool?

Belive it or not.........some members of the Club Polk forum post on other boards too....

Hard to believe....but true nonetheless! And I bet there is some pretty good camaraderie between the two-timin' Polksters and the memebers of those forums:eek:.

I have no problem posting an item in two different forums at the same time as long as it doesn't become a bidding war and the first to contact gets the item. Hell...I don't care if the contact is by IM, PM, posts, telephone call, snail mail or carrier pigeon....as long as the sell is honest. E-bay and the forum is something altogether different.

Don't trust the seller....You have no excuse. Get your research on...there is tons of feedback here it you will use the search feature or go HERE .

    Mountain? Molehill?? That whole thing???

Maybe it's just me, but, c'mon guys, I think that some of you are reading WAY too much into this.

Russ should be COMMENDED for trying to bring good audio on the cheap to as many people as possible. The gang over on AK is great gang as well. I see no conflict of interest there.

Getting pissed off because you missed out on a good deal, that's pretty childish. Not too mention, I think Russ's track record of passing on good deals is beyond reproach.

honestly. i'm not worked up over it.. i had the chance to buy the cables and many other things Russ has offered here over the years.

I'm not pissed off at Russ or anyone. I just know that i don't deal with sales in here the way Russ or anyone else does.

In the end.. Russ sells off some used stuff. and the buyer gets a great deal on some steller gear.

it's dinner time.. that's more important to me than any used gear i could bid on in here anyways.

I usually stay out of these things. But, I have never known a more gratious and giving person than Russman. Some of you act like this is the only place you can sell something. Hopefully, we have a Polk bond between us, but it is not made in blood. We are allowed to frequent other boards and anyone can post sales anywhere they want. This whole thread is crazy! He is the Definition of a gentleman. I do not understand how anyone can question him. In the future email me all your deals first and I will buy them! Jeff
