I have him down to 325, trying for 300 for the 1500. Just light smudges on it and 8yrs old. Would my receiver be enough power for the 706 center. He has other parasound amps for sale 750a for 100.

Dang, a 750A for $100? If it's in as good condition as the 1500, that's a very nice price. The 750A was my first separate amp and probably my favorite. It's probably the one I regret selling the most. I sold for a bit more than this, and felt like I was giving it away...

I think running your fronts on the 1500 (205 wpc) and your center on the 750 (250 watts bridged) would work very well. He11, if you don't buy that 750, I'd say pick it up and ship it to me, LOL.

Honestly, if you could get both for $400, you're going to have a hard time finding a better bang for the buck.

Funny, that was my local guy asking 350 for them and raised his prices for eBay.

Lol...he realized what he has after all. If I may ask when you get all your gear set-up and had time with a really good sit down with your 707's I would luv to hear your thoughts on them fine towers. If I could afforded a pair of 707's I believe I would have a dust rag and some furniture shine next to them night and day and dare speck of dust to settle. I would be like in the middle of night coming back from the bathroom with a flashlight just to check to make sure no one put a fingerprint on them.

What’s sad is that my theater room get rarely used. I just bought 4K in seating and 4k in Audio upgrades and still won’t get used as much as it should.

True as that may be, thing about this hobby, at times it goes unnoticed cause well life comes into play. But with your dedicated theater room
money well spent, enjoyment and knowing comfort in this hobby is why we spend the time with it makes the time more than money spent priceless. After all when I am alone to me spinning one of my LP's or streaming one of my favorite tunes is Bliss!

Jmeitz13 ...you seem to have a nice decision on your hand with those amps. I would luv too have a dedicated home theater room/music only. Knowing me with the time I have now it would be loaded, not just with gear like.. popcorn machine
hotdog machine, beer cooler, even if friends wouldn't come by I would have mannequins male and female set up in it. Lol..StarWars..movie posters everywhere. Musical instruments used of course. Band posters also put of course there would be a 50' ft or bigger umm the front wall would be the projector screen. Even lil drive-in theater speakers mounted next to each seat but they would be lil ice-box's for two cold beers.

How can one go about deleting a post? @jmeitz13, sorry about this post I got a little off topic.

Then I'd try to snatch em all if you can do it. Your surrounds dont "need" a dedicated amp, but it cant hurt to run em off one......

Surely will be an awesome month to have it up and running for sure. Your HTR looks to be about half the size of my apartment. That has been one of my passions, to have a "dedicate" HTR.
It surely would give me a lot more to do. Jeremie, let pick your brain for a minute Sir if you don't mind? My M70'lls came in on Wednesday, unpacked both not a scratch on them. When I pulled the grills off, one tweeter was pushed in the cone of it. Had to be done at the factory cause the box's didn't have any tears or holes in them which is unusual with FedEx or UPS cuz usually they can get banged up pretty bad sometimes. Now I got it to come out about 99% but there are about 6 lil dimples I can't seem to get the lil dimples out? I tried some Scotch tape didn't work, you wouldn't have any remedies? I have no doubt if I put in a call to Polk they would ship out a new one with no problems at all.

@Oldschool59 that’s a good question, I was going to mention the tape remedy. Other than that I have no idea.

Thanks. I know, when my children where young they would like to polk them in back in the day I would just give it the ole mouth to mouth which is what I did this time. But being that the speaker probably been sitting that box for months. Tweeter is playing good no problems just with the grill off it's not aesthetically pleasing. Think I will call into Polk I did register them on Polks wedsite the day they came in.

Glad to hear that as I was reading message boards that Polk never responds. I was worried something changed from the past. Been a fan since 95 when I first started buying their speakers.

I was told it was recently recapped and repaired. Not sure about anything else. I made him an offer for all his amps.

They have never failed me. I said it was Kim, that was a typo, dudes name is Ken. I think he has been there for years we always talk shop a little.

Vintage Mitsubishi amplifiers are underrated, but if you do buy one, prepare to have them recapped due to their age. I preferred the one above to the HCA-750a and a similarly powered Rotel. Of the three, the 750a was my least favorite.

If you wanted new, I'd recommend the A23 over the 2250 v2, especially with the LSiM.

@DSkip, I see you mention Parasounds A23, 2250v2. If you don't mind Sir, I am on the fence between the two. Both have very good reviews on them, the a23 being a "John Curl", the 2250v2 obviously having a much greater output big power supply and so fourth. I would greatly appreciate your thought differences between the two besides the power ratings. I have research both to great extent, the a23 seems to have premium components built into it, not to say the 2250v2 is an after thought design. Thanks Dskip", for all your great advice and tips on this forum. It's members like you and the other Old-Timers in here that keeps us coming back and hanging.

So my parasound deal fell through. The guy still has a 1500 for 300 and a 750a with a broken toggle stereo/mono for 75. Thoughts? Do I need a amp for the center or should my Yamaha be able to drive it?
