Well, I haven't listened to it for a while, but I liked this one a lot when I was young and impressionable -- and I'd still opine that it definitely rocks and rolls.

This one is also a toe-tapper:

Small world. I almost pulled that Foghat "rock and roll" album out earlier today. I got busy, so it never happened. I've been listening to the tuner ever since I got up. For anyone who's a George Clinton/P-Funk fan... you might enjoy either, or both, of these (in case you haven't heard 'em).

speaking of songs called Flashlight that rock/move, here's another one!

The "move" part might be a little spastic... but this is (IMO) great stuff.

Okay, I'm game. Y'all check this one out. This cat is completely out of the box...

A computer speaker does NOT do this guy justice. It begs to be played on the big boy rigs. Those that do will now exactly why. I've been really digging this strange but cool as heck...."I don't even know how to describe it music".
Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club - Live in Paris
Pretty good album. Couple of standouts, but by no means the only good ones - Let the Day Begin (cover of The Call song), and Lullaby

Hey..didn't a guy Andy Bell play with that group end up in
Oasis?..I have a couple of their earlier ones...pretty hot in the mid 90's in the
UK,if I remember right... -
Boston's debut album 37 minutes of non stop head bopping, foot tapping, sing along with your friends, bring back memories music. IMO they broke the mold on this one for debut albums from a rock group.

Side A:
1. "More Than a Feeling" 4:46
2. "Peace of Mind" 5:02
3. "Foreplay/Long Time" 7:47
Side B
4. "Rock & Roll Band" 3:00
5. "Smokin'" 4:22
6. "Hitch a Ride" 4:12
7. "Something About You" 3:48
8. "Let Me Take You Home Tonight" 4:44 -
ahhh, no way, I didn't know that! but yes, indeed, I just read the other day after seeing your post that he joined up with Oasis at some point. I missed Ride at the height of their popularity. I had two albums that I only bought around 93/94 for maybe three or four songs at the time, but never really gave the albums an appreciable listen until much later. Became more of a fan long after they were all done. I saw them play on the reunion tour at The 930 Club in DC last year. It was funny how much in their set I recognized, not realizing it was them over the years. A lot of people associate them with the shoegaze movement, but I read that they reject that notion, and it makes sense why; their music really isn't anything like it - those bands would be more like My Bloody Valentine with Loveless, and earlier stuff by Slowdive. Back when college radio was really the best way to hear all the underground stuff before labels like "alternative" and "indie" were a thing. I, unfortunately, missed that too. Too young and no older siblings to teach me, so instead I was listening to... well, never you mind what I was listening to.Hey..didn't a guy Andy Bell play with that group end up in Oasis?..I have a couple of their earlier ones...pretty hot in the mid 90's in the UK, if I remember right...I disabled signatures. -

May I add in AC/DC Highway To Hell or Guns N Roses Appetite For Destruction? Both albums have toe tappin rockin tunes. The title track of Highway To Hell just seriously means rock n roll while on the GnR album, Paradise City is one of my all time top favourite songs.
two great ones, real rock
