    That's why I posted that Zeppelin bootleg yesterday along with the matching video of the 1970 concert. I'm in a Zeppelin mood too.

    I am in the middle of sorting through the entire FLAC discography and every bootleg that has been released for Led Zeppelin and tagging all the files properly including concert notes and artwork. Did the video section last weekend.

    I must have deleted about 200 crappy-sounding audience bootleg recordings. I never listen to them anyway but kept all the good soundboards.

    I just tallied them up.

    488 CDs of Zeppelin.

    Oh there are tons of primo bootlegs from every band out there. I have thousands of them. The soundboards are obviously the best. I have some bootleg recordings from several bands that are versions that have never been circulated. A friend of mine is a big recorder and has hundreds of soundboards and even some outstanding audience recordings from the 90s at he recorded himself using DAT. All are excellent shows and the sound quality is absolutely incredible.

    I get tired listening to the same CDs over and over and it's always nice to pop in an excellent boot to mix it up some. Of course I don't actually "pop-in" CDs anymore. All my digital media is now stored on hard drives.

    switching to my dumpster dive Sony CD/SACD carousel. It sometimes plays the SACD, sometimes not. Great when it does. The Argus SACD worked earlier.

    It's funny about some of these Zeppelin bootlegs. I bought several of them on vinyl back in the 70s and they sounded pretty-good but now you see them coming out digitally remastered and some have appeared from new sources. I can remember going to a lot of concerts back then and seeing what appeared to be hundred of wires coming from the soundboard to dudes recording the concerts. Of course back then most were using cassettes but they still sound pretty-good. The DAT ones and newer digitally-recorded boots are totally-awesome.

    I have a Neil Young boot my friend recorded in the 90s on DAT from the soundboard that is totally awesome. One of my favorites. Like you're right there.

    It's nice to have boots from concerts you were actually at.
