I have too many amps and need to sell these, am offering to club members first. Each amp is sonically perfect fully functional in decent condition, not dogs by any means, they are used and have some small scatches on the top of the cases that were there when I got them. I am offering the price here at less than I have into each of them. Of course I will appropriately package for the ride.
NAD 2600A 2 ch. Power Envelope 150 wpc/high current amp. Excellent dynamic power, stable to 4 ohm, bridgeable 400 wpc @ 8 ohm when bridged. Specs out the same as the NAD 2700, just does not have the THX logo. Used to power my SDA-1C $215.00 plus actual shipping charges.

My Onkyo M5140, 105 WPC @ 8ohm, good amp I used to power my rears in the HT before I bought the B&K. Has a phono input, A and B speaker switch, power protection circuit, light bar works, manufactured in the 80's has a nice metal face plate. The left rack handle has a slight bend in it. 120.00 + shipping.
Edit for model number -
Damn Ted, were ya on the throne snapping those shots or what?

Ya dont know do you Jesse!!!:p Thanks for the words.
I also have a Marantz PM-730 Integrated 70 wpc, stable to drive a 4 ohm load. Has plenty of inputs for CD, phono MM & MC, dual tape deck inputs/switching/recording, tuner, subsonic and high filter selector, lights work, a vintage piece from the 80's. Is the champagne color will have to post a pic tomorrow as it is in my office, before that I used it to drive RT55i's as a 2 ch rig.
80.00 plus shipping. -
Took me a second to see that, but VERY nice.............lolOriginally posted by F1nut

Yes, Brett I had them, well not the Marantz, a couple guys showed some interest, but still have them so offering here. These will do nicely for some good power on the cheap.

Faster,
The 2600A is basically the same amp as the NAD 2700, the difference being the 2700 got THX certified so they had to give it a new number, NAD still has the 2700 spec on their site in the archived support pdf file, it lists the the power ratings, the short term power rating for the amp is 600 wpc @ 4 ohm, the NAD has the soft clipping to prevent damage to equipment. I can tell you it drove my 1C's with good clean power.
If anything I would say the NAD products produce a warm sound, I guess you could match the specs to the Rotel.

Sorry, I transposed a number
it is Model Number 5140. I would guess (someone unamed busted the scale) in 20 lb or so range, if I remember right it cost me about 15.00-20.00 to have it shipped to me from S.C., if you want to know exact I will find a scale tomorrow and let you know. -
Ok lemme just keep what i have.. looks like a nice amp... not really an upgrade power wise though... Good luck with the sale..MY HT RIG:

The NAD gear is solid and musical, with nice bass control and a warm midrange....classic NAD sound. Very tough to overdrive them with the soft clipping and power envelope design.
Night and Day from Rotel and superior musically IMO.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
really, Thats what i was wondering... Well the Rotel says the damping factor is 1000 @ 8ohms and the nad was < 120 @ 8 ohms.. I never cared about this before... But was just comparing specs for the heck of it... any thoughts?
and how old is a unit like this?
Edit: well then Real, lemme let you know tomorrow if you don't mind... otherwise if someone has cash.. By all means.. Ive been on a spending streak.. so well see here.. ThanksMY HT RIG:

Buy with confidence from Poppa Bear, someone should REALLY snag these gems up.

Yeah sorry reel, i shoulda Pm'd ya about it before i went public with my interest, and shouldnt have held your sale up overnight until i was sure if i wanted it or not... apparently the guys don't like the hold on items unless you close escrow asap.. i certainly didn't have intentions of hindering interested parties... I've read that the bass is really good; is that the 'tightness'? punch? could you tell me how it'd compare to the RX-V1400 I'm using? not just bass, but all around (for music)?
I'm not really interested in buying, just curious here
Thanks.
Edit: I can't believe I forgot to specify that I'm askin' about the NAD 2600A; sorry!

AB- NAD gear has a real warm tone, and in regards to bass, that's subjective. I personally love the control and weight that that gear typically presents.
You need a very small amount of loose bass to make media feel real, it's what happens in real life. Parasound is my bass benchmark, to date, and I've demo'd alot of gear.....this particular NAD is very nice.
Electronic bass is a prime example of what bass sounds like crap. Sure it works, but why bother.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
Things change here faster than I change my socks..
Ted, sell me the NAD. I'm ready and have the cash in hand. Tell me where to send it.
As i was originally interested in the Onkyo.. i find that I can add the NAD to my HT downstairs and move the other one upstairs.
PM me and we can figure out all the gory details.

Ok, you got it sent you a pm for the detalis..........
NAD is sold to DangerBoy.
Onk and Marantz still up for grabs. -
I received the NAD 2600A amp from Ted today! Very happy about it too. It's like Christmas in Nov.

Ted packed this amp up like a pro. Top notch all the way. The packaging was so good in fact... i couldn't tell the difference between used gear and a brand new from the factory packaging.
The NAD is a brick sh*thouse. Big beefy, heavy, brute of an amp. Very well made. NAD built this one to last for a long time.
Rack up another successful transaction between club Polk members!
thanks Ted
