The Lord of the Rings? Anyone know anything about this movie?

Wasn't this a book? When did they adapt it into a movie? Who directed it? I thought someone said a while back that this was unfilmable. Someone fill me in on the details...

    Not to be a jerk, but you're kidding, right? Have you been living under a rock for the past 3+ years?

    I like the movies. I didn't think I'd like them, but I do. I've never read the books so I can't say anything about them compared to the movie.

    Peter Jackson was the director of all three movies.

    You should take a LOOOONNGGG Weekend and watch them.

    Read the books, enjoy the movies.
    Movie does stray away from the book as Jackson decides to change it to his liking during various parts but the movies are awesome.
    Can't wait for the final extended version.

    Yeah, I'm kidding. Sorry for being a stupid ****. I was watching Return of the King eariler this morning, and I just cannot wait for the extended cut. I popped in the 2nd disc and watched some of the featurettes for about the 3rd time, and got all teary eyed. What a journey it was. 3 yrs of brilliance and magic. Peter Jackson is a Go-, er, an awesome man. (Justin will get me if I mention something related to religion).

    Yea, I saw it, it was an ok flick about a guy in the circus who juggled rings in the air, great PQ, but the soundtrack was lacking, the DTS track was had more bass though.

    I dont want to give it away but the one of the rings hits the guy in the head when he misses catching it, giving him amensia, when he wakes up he finds he can shoot webbing out of his wrists, he meets a pretty redhead who looks great in a wet t-shirt, the sequal is coming out soon, I heard then a an extended anniversary edtion.
