  • Cherry. Black paint is so rare if you have a mishap.
  • Cherry reminds me of grandma's house. Old outdated finish, look.

From an interior design perspective go with the colour that matches the rest of your room. Both can look good. My preference would be black as I like to watch movies in a bat cave.

  • Cherry is beautiful no doubt. I just do not prefer the style of furniture ect that is usually associated with cherry. Then again my whole house interior is mid century modern pieces.

In that case, cherry would go very well with the walnut used in a lot of mid century modern furnishings. As they age cherry and walnut start develop similar color tones.

Actually, in the furniture world mahogany is king by a large margin.

Its a nice color. In daylight it looks like a dark purple maroon color but at night or moderate light look black. I wish I had room for a pair of the 702FX but my living room is shaped funky and I can't run wires through the ceiling due to no access point and I am tired of patching walls and painting. My 703s are on my end tables on each side of the couches in the back and at eat level when your sitting down.
