What's next? Bose Bowl? Polk Pavillion? (Sorry, we already have the HP Pavillion in San Jose, CA)

Monster now employs 330 people, the majority of whom live in San Francisco, and big-time musical acts like the Rolling Stones, U2 and Aerosmith rely on the company's products for their tours, Lee said.

Other companies that were part of the bidding process for the naming rights include Oracle, Macromedia, Virgin USA, Wells Fargo and Organic Inc.

Monster Beat out some pretty big companies.

I guess someone has to pay for today's huge salaries.

Well, I'm not from the Bay Area, so I don't know how people are going to feel about this.

I think it is cool. It is good to see the audio hobby get some national attention.

Yeah, me and a friend at work are going to start two business. First one is a charter fishing boat business. The other is a high-end wire business.

One thing, we'll never charter the boat(s) out, just take them out fishing everyday and while wiating for the traps or dragging fishing lines, we'll assemble wires. Use the 80% profits from cable business to fund the fishi...ahem, cable manufacturing line!

Anybody want in? We'll have a real nice profit sharing plan!

Okay... an effin cable/wire company has bought the naming rights. In Seattle our sports facilities are named after a bank, an insurance company and a telecommunications company. I am sure they have a hell of a lot more than 330 employees each.

That must be one hell of a margin Monster is pulling.
