4 Shot Boom Mic Echo Issue

I've had the headset since Black Friday 2014 and it came with the boom mic. I had friends in my XBL party chat who would complain about an echo. So, I contacted polk audio in early 2015 and they sent a replacement boom mic. It didn't fix the echo issue and one of my friends complains about the echo issue every day. I've been telling him to deal with it, but I got tired of him complaining about the echo. So, is there a fix to this echo issue yet? I can't really afford to buy a new headset when everything with the 4 Shot works, not including the echo issue.
