Polk Parable: Marketing Department, The Movie

We were going to make a marketing department movie.

Polk Audio Marketing Department: The Movie.

[sonorous movie-trailer voice-over voice:]
A stirring and inspiring dramedy about the trials and tribulations of a not-so-typical marketing department. It's the kind of place you'd love to work, but are glad nonetheless that you don't work there! Directed by Michael Bay, today's biggest action director, and staring some of today's biggest movie names!

Including

Nick Nolte as Al Ballard

...And don't forget, in a special one-show-only appearance, the beloved matriarch of our Polk Audio family, Debbie Reynolds as feisty Helen Yarbor!

... and points all her own, sitting way up high
    way up firm and high...

sorry, my mind wandered a bit.
    This is fascinating stuff.
    In all seriousness.

Micah, youse guyses are all rich now, right?
i.e., richer than the "talent" (as they say) you were considering to play you all in the big-screen epic, right?

    I use GIMP!

And I never ever understood those lyrics. What the heck are points sitting way up firm and high? A hair-do? A scoreboard? What?

Right, when Polk Audio was bought out by the Gordon Gecko VCers we all got brass rings. I mean, seriously: BRASS. It's worth pennies. Turns your finger green.

Our film went into development and it's been there ever since. But I found the napkin sketch and figured it'd be funny to post it for you.

Just want to post in this thread now that it has input from the two Polkies that can turn a phrase better than any others, Micah and Mark.

You've got a picture of the napkin, Micah--Do you have one of the brass ring?
