monitor 60 series 2 tweeter

Hi my monitor 60 tweeter just blew. I have a Sony str-DH520 reciever. I purchased from newegg 3 weeks ago .is it the speaker or is there a compatibility issue.

    Give Polk CS a call, they'll take care of you. The only compatibility issue is possibly you and the volume dial, lol. Take it easy man, everything has it's limits.

    An entry level AVR like that Sony can clip fairly quickly on a set of M-60 towers. And the tweeters in that series will and do pop, often, when that happens. I'm sure Polk has a stash of endless extras, though!

    As Tony says, careful with the volume dial. Loud but not ear bleeding, wall rattling. Let your SUB do that!
