Power conditioners are great, and definitely needed in any serious setup. I just negotiated a great deal with the Cable Company to trade in my HT Shunyata Triton v1 for a Triton v2. Every little tweak helps.
Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes

Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables

Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
    Three 20 amp circuits.

Hard to get deals on high quality items... Gotta jump on them when you can...

I was looking at this one and or another Panamax and this one is better and cheaper... hard to argue with that.

    Thanks for the reply.

The house and dedicated lines are wired properly. I don't get any flickering or dimming, just some noise.

When the Parasound was on a shared line the hum was much worse, once I installed the dedicated line it was reduced, drastically.

I've found that the line conditioners eliminate the noise, for the whole system. Just makes sure that I get as low of a noise floor as possible.

Those small brain-less 3 LED probes can be easily tricked.
This by a pro-audio guy on a much better test. But note that some of the newest Non Contact Voltage Probes are just too sensitive.

Hey guys, I also found these PS Audio current taps, available from a seller on Ebay. He sells them 3 for $100, which I thought it was a steal. I ordered two sets. Pretty sure the conductors are gold plated.

    Tony

I have done my test and my studies.

I'm not concerned. The MAX amperage draw the 1500A can pull is about 8 amps.

Again, that is max. I barely dig into what my amp is capable of in my system.

If I was pushing much larger, 4ohm speakers that forced me to really open my amp up, I would invest in something larger to feed it.

However, I have fairly efficient bookshelf speakers in a moderate sized room. These Focal's are nothing to this amp.

I did test connecting the amp directly to the outlet and connected to the Furman. System sounds good with amp directly connected to outlet. However, I lose zero dynamics plugging into the Furman and I gain a lower noise floor and less smearing of the soundstage.

I've never liked plugging my power amps into conditioners. I use one in my theater, but sunfire plugged right into the wall. 2 channel system my mono blocks right into the wall as well. I've definitely noticed an improvement in picture. But the conditioner has always seemed to suck the life out of music with amps plugged into it. Although I've never had the luxury of super expensive power conditioners. My Nordost quantum power strip is about twice the cost of my Panamax 5400pm, and no filtration tech built into it. I guess the problem lies with older houses etc. that's cool the furman fixed your issue! Focals are a nice efficient speaker. Super easy to drive. Don think I could go back to hard to drive speakers.
