WTB: suggest an AVR w/7 inputs - 4 that can up-convert to HDMI or component video

Assembling a 4.1 game-driven system for my kids; movies secondary. System will start life as a 2.0 using robust, efficient LR speakers. I'll add rears* & a sub** as time*, $**, and the right opportunity** present themselves.

AVR's most important feature is kid-friendly switching between the many sources.
A close 2nd, dad-friendly connection of all the equipment, some dated, and AVR setup/configuration.
Sound & video quality, while important to me, comes third for them

I'd pay a little more for LR or LCR pre-outs, but I'm sure that "talkin' champagne gear" even used, is more than my mainstream "beer budget" can swing.

    Older model, but it should work for your application. This won't play any of the new 4k material, but that's the reason for the low price. Top of the line a couple of years ago.

    YUUP!! Used = lower $ = higher WAF! I don't mind a little electronic "Hokus Pocus" to adapt, convert, etc so long it keeps the switching* simple. I'm using a modulator to handle that* w/a Wii AND a VCR. I have, but not using yet, a low $$ auto HDMI switcher that senses signal.

    @ first glance 4.3 stars on Amazon not to mention functions & features. So long as all buttons & knobs* on front panel work, working remote being the "icing," if/when/what ($) you decide, PM me.
