Jeff Lyne's ELO @ Hyde Park

I have to tell you this was one really enjoyable concert. I just saw it on the Palladia channel and was very impressed. While not known to be the best guitarist in the world he held his own and had a boatload of other players 2 other guitarists, 2 back up singers, piano, keyboards, bass. He also had the BBC Orchestra and a solo violinist performing. I didn't realize just how many hits ELO did have back in the day and he did do a Traveling Willbury's song or 2. Even though the weather sucks in England most of the summer time they do seem to put on a bunch of festivals and a free gig or 2.

I don't have Palladia's schedule. I actually missed a couple of songs to be quite honest and want to see it again. This was a very well rehearsed gig. The amount of planning to go into a gig like this must have taken months on just rehearsal time alone. It was to promote his new album also but again it was mostly ELO'S former hits package and done well.

Got the new LP and I like it very much. Jeff Lynn is very underrated as an artist. All of the Wiburys thought he was the most talented all-around musician.

It's been on Palladia a couple times now and it is good. Jeff Lynn's voice is still great and the band is very good. I'd like to get it on BluRay.
