Guys-
I'm still learning about preamp features.
This is for a dedicated 2 channel stereo setup.
What are the advantages/disadvantages
of between analog and digital imputs?
I currently don't have a turntable, and realistically, now that I've given most of my 300+ vinyl albums away, don't think I will go back to vinyl.
So for cd's, sacd, dvd-A would an all digital imput preamp be best?
Or is there something to be gained in an analog based preamp?
thanks,
-Luc

As of now, you can't use DVD-A or SACD via a digital cable. Closest thing is to use Denon Link from their dvd player to their receiver for DVD-A, but still not SACD. Go analog if you're doing stereo...Never kick a fresh **** on a hot day.
Home Setup: Sony VPL-VW85 Projo, 92" Stewart Firehawk, Pioneer Elite SC-65, PS3, RTi12 fronts, CSi5, FXi6 rears, RTi6 surround backs, RTi4 height, MFW-15 Subwoofer.
Car Setup: OEM Radio, RF 360.2v2, Polk SR6500 quad amped off 4 Xtant 1.1 100w mono amps, Xtant 6.1 to run an eD 13av.2, all Stinger wiring and Raammat deadener. -
didnt they do that so it would be a pain in the **** to copy dvd-a and sacd?

Yup, these "new" formats comply to RIAA standards I believe.
