I have an Architect's Choice Series II amp for sale.I have this posted on the local C.L for more but will pass it on to a fellow polkie for less.This is the 425x5 amp and it is 17" not 19".I've had this for about 8 months and was going to use it for home theater but have changed my mind.Local pickup is preferred (Dallas Area).I can ship but want to try local first.Price is 550.00.It has a few bumps on the top but the face is pretty clean.P.M with any questions.Thanksccje1rcns3wx.jpg

    Yes it is common ground,I've ran it with my 2.3tl's,3.1tl's and 2b's.I wouldn't be selling if it were not for another speaker purchase.I would like to try local first but am not against shipping.I will keep you posted

    I knew what I had was worth more than what I set the price at but in the long run I will make out ok.I came from 2 years ago rockin bose acoustimas to the system I have now because of this forum and am grateful for it.The journey is not over.

    Nice to hear you have enjoyed and upgraded your system from Bose and that this forum has guided you in the right direction! In my opinion, Bose has catered to the masses who don't know any better and that's because, generally, consumers haven't heard a superior system - I'll explain. While Bose systems may sound "impressive", the general home theater market sellers cater to cheap, loud, and surround - and that's all relative to how the general population spends $$$ on electronics. Unless you are in the market for higher end equipment and have even had the opportunity to hear higher end products (all the higher $$$ stores are no longer within a few miles from home to audition the products) , the general population will stick with reviews they read from their local Best Buy, Amazon, etc.. I've had numerous people ask me on advice on which sound bar to purchase, and I say, well then you must be looking to upgrade only the speakers that are on your television (only to see a confused look on their face) and I say that's all you are going to do. I think they expect to get a THEATER sound upgrade for a few pennies to the dollar. I started that way myself, cheap Sony home theater in a box, thought it sounded great, didn't know any better, until I plugged some LSi25's into the mix, then followed by a Sunfire Cinema Grand to help my Pioneer SC-07 push them.....and so on and so forth..... The moral of the story was to tell you that while you could have sold this amp for more you chose not to and I appreciate you doing a great deed and not looking at THE how much $$$ you could profit. I'm sure the buyer will put it to great use, Fantastic deal dkfreebird! YOU ARE A CLASS ACT!

    2 channel: Anthem 225 Integrated amp; Parasound Ztuner; TechnicsTT SL1350; Vincent PHO-8 phono pre; Marantz CD6005 spinner; Polk SDA2BTL's; LAT International speaker cables, ZU Mission IC's and power cables all into a PS Audio Dectet Power center.

    Other; M10 series II, M7C's, Hafler XL600 amp, RB-980BX, Parasound HCA-1500 amp , P5 preamp, all in storage. All vintage Polk have had crossover rebuilds and tweeter upgrades.

    Thanks cfrizz.and John I did think about that but I ran the Sunfire with my modded 2.3tl's but ended up liking the McCormack with it better.I think I might just move up the McCormack chain for my next amp.I just moved them into the house and will run the Parasound 1200II with them to see how they sound.

    Wise man. If you do move up the chain, the DNA225 is nice but my fav of all of them is the DNA500. Delivers all the characteristics your accustomed to, but in spades.

    I should be able to make Skips.I'm on vacation that week and will take the camper out to Oklahoma for a few days and be back before the weekend,I spent Saturday in the garage with windex cleaning all the drivers and Sunday pulling them all to make sure they are correct.I'm glad to help you get your Atmos system running.
