I get this error message all the time now. Generally, re clicking fixes it.

    I used to be able to click on a thread while going through "recent discussions" and when back paging would correct the unread post count, now I actually have to re-click on recent discussion for it count to update

    Yes. Exactly. I too noticed that change. The Recent Discussion page would be updated exact time going to the page. Now you have to click Recent Discussion to update. I also got the error posted earlier trying to respond to this post. The more Polk pays Vanilla, the worse it gets. Must be a new MBA business model.
