I need directions from Chicago. ;)

Seriously guys, I'd cancel a date with Kate Upton to go hear this rig. If you got the time, get down/up there, if not....make time.

Ron, glad you are making the drive up. Skip is driving down. So looks like we have a few guys making a serious effort to attend. I will try and not disappoint. Be sure to bring any music you like. I'm good for vinyl, CD, SACD, hard drives, thumb drives, phones and reel to reel tape. I think that pretty much covers it.

If someone wants something to eat or drink, other than what I have, there is a HEB and a Super Walmart just 3 or 4 minutes from my house and a liquor store about two miles down the street. I think I have all that covered though.

    Looking forward to seeing you.

Tomorrow is the kick off with the first guy arriving around lunch time. Then a day and a half of lost boys weekend. No agenda or schedule. It's all off the cuff and the fun really starts when the first guy says, "hold my beer, watch this."

If we need anything, there is an HEB and a super Walmart less than a block away.

I planned on attending and possibly staying at the river walk. The wife had other plans for her special weekend. I couldn't seem to convince her that I will be gone for only a couple hours and come back senselessly intoxicated.

    You guys have fun!

Wow....probably the nicest array of gear I've seen at a get together yet. Great systems you guys glued together. Any favorites ? Seems to me they all have a strong suit.

FYI: the speakers in this picture are not hooked to any of the gear you see. The Mark and Daniel Maximus Opal Air4 have their own built in D class amp, Nuforce DAC and wireless receiver. There is a USB dongle that was hooked to a labtop that streamed a digital signal for the DAC to decode and feed to the built in amp. It is not bluetooth. It is a new protocol called SKAA. These are very impressive and I'm not typically a little speaker guy.

Looks like a lot of good equipment passess through your house and resides at your residence, looks like you all had a good time. I remember seeing some of the Animusic stuff on PBS a few years ago so I read your comment on all's best web site and on this thread so I went to their website and ordered the bluray at a decent price compared to what Amazon wants for it can't wait to get it. I was reading that Jon Anderson from Yes and Alan Parsons were impressed.

Luther is a great host, plenty of analog and digital to boot. Like always these gatherings are a lot of fun. Good music, getting your ears on gear, education, and to meet some great people. The Animusic is very cool, and amazing the amount of effort and detail put into the project. Honestly a must have especially for surround sound.

    Thanks again Luther
