Monitor 70 Series II Twitters

I have a total of 6 Polk Audio Monitor70 Series II and one by one, my twitters have been going bad! So far I have 5 bad ones and one good one left. There are all located on different areas and connected to different receivers, Pioneer SC-1222-K, Yamaha RX-V775 and Onkyo TX-NR838. I also have 6 Polk Audio Monitor60 Series II as surrounds and one of the twitters went bad a few weeks ago as well. Is there an issue with this units? The drivers are all still working with no issues! Please advise. . .

You have a good point, however, I have own this speakers for almost 4 years now and we used them mainly to watch movies and regular over the air programing. Now, this is being happening over the last 6 months or so, why it did not happen before? Most everything remains unchange!

In my humble opinion, it is a testament of Polk build quality. Sounds like the speakers stood up to the clipping for quite awhile. I have 4 of these myself and power them with an avr. They will clip past -15 ( did the math), so I don't turn them up past that. 5 years zero problems. Bought them new for around $130 a piece best money I have ever spent. Run all 4 as my front r and l in the bedroom, damn near sound as good as the rtia9s running off a emotiva xpr 2 in the living room.
