Ok, guys, I'm committed to turning the HT rig into a pimpin' 2ch rig. I got royally hosed on a deal on A-gon so in order to do this, I need to liquidate some gear, the only catch is, I won't be home for another month so I'm trying to see how much cash I can raise and if there is interest in the gear.....

No, I don't have a digital camera, sorry.

Here is the list

Amps

Carver m200t (gidrah has spoken for it) 100wpc, good cosmetics, sweet sound.........125 shipped

Onkyo M-501 amp.....150wpc nice, powerful amp, big sucker with the Onk rack handles. 175 shipped

Preamps

Dynaco PAT-4 classic solid state preamp from dynaco. Excellent sound, excellent condition, definately a cave-worthy preamp. 50 shipped (Hbomber has dibs)

Onkyo P-3200. Full function 2ch pre with video inputs if that's your thing. Excellent phono stage. Remote capable, I don't have original remote, HOWEVER, I do have a cheapie universal with the Onk code punched in. It controls power and volume (can't remember if it will switch inputs, I never had to try)..........mates well with the Onk amp (hint hint, for you guys wanting to try 2ch on the cheap).......75 shipped

Carver C-16 preamp. IMO, the finest SS preamp Carver made. Fully functional, tone contols that are fully defeatable, Sonic Holography...the whole nine yards. This unit is MINTY. Comes with original box and manual. 250 shipped. **SPOKEN FOR BY THE DAPPER GENT FROM JERSEY WHOM MY WIFE ADORES***

That's about all for now, Some of these pieces I REALLY am reticent to part with but it's for the greater good so prices are pretty firm, local pickup is obviously welcome and price will be adjusted accordingly.

If you are interested, PM me or post here. If you want to call dibs on something (as gidrah as) that's fine as I've got about a month until I get home so time is not of the essence.

I haven't bought MYSELF something nice in awhile, and that C-16 is fair shipped. It's spoken for.

I'll pass on the preamp if Henry agrees to give me dibs in the event he decides to unass it in the future and replies to my PMs about the periscopes and tubes.

I would like to call dibs on the "Romantic Evening with TroyD" package.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

dibs to my brother up north. Troy send me PM and I'll get a check out ASAP.

I have been so consumed by my new found SDA's and work that I forgot about the periscopes. No offense but I can't chew bubblegum and walk at the same time ;)

I think you're in the wrong business then. I have been formally trained to juggle, ride a unicycle and install a T1 at the same time....it's part of the new "Initiative"...or so they tell me....but they point and giggle when I am doing it....hmmmmm, at least I don't work for T-Mobile.

    Guys,

No need to send any money until I get home. I'm just getting the batting order together.

I can't ship the gear until I get home either.

good God your right! and in this case a spade is a spade.

I have been hearing strange things with regard to T mobile.... sounds like they blew their budget through 2005 which killed all their build cycles. I would not want to be a customer thats for sure.

I can't believe with all the moaning and groaning around here about wanting to get into a decent 2 rig on the cheap, that no one has pounced on the $250 Onkyo amp / pre combo above.

    Cheers,
    Russ

Yea, it's like a T-Mobile Exodus over here. The customers typically only know what they are told by T-Mobile, unless they are smart and pay attention to the real world.

Catherine Zeta Jones won't be there long either, they can't afford her anymore :D

Russman - That is a smoking deal, but nothing suprises me anymore.

Still have the Onk pre and amp and the Denon......GREAT way to get into separates on the cheap or an inexpensive HT receiver with all the bells and whistles and preouts to boot (mains and center)

Russ, believe me, if I had the money, I'd be all over it along with the Denon HT reciever!
