Monitor Audio Bronze 2

Let's start the bidding at $200, I'll handle the shipping cost.
As far as the R10's go, they are as-new, orig box/manual...email me to discuss...I'll have to check the going rate on eBay, I'm thinking $75 shipped.....

Monitor's are sold, R10's still up for grabs....
(you would think someone that had, ahem, 'bose' rears would jump at such an offer.......)

I wonder who that POSSIBLY could be? Surely anyone that is looking at Sonus Fabers and some of the other high end speaks could swing a few measely dollars to help a brotha out AND have a respectable rear ensemble.....
Credibility check....

Look, the Polk's just don't have the direct/radiating technology or the bass module! What would a speaker system be without those features!?

yeah, and no messy crossover to contend with either....

russman,
those monitor 2's look exactly like my PSB Image 2b's. even the drivers and tweeters look exactly the same.
how long have you had the monitors. how did they sound. i will try to post a pic of the 2b's later... -
Mark has em now, on a dynaco rig, if I am not mistaken. I had them for about 3 months, if that. It is similar to the 2b, but the drivers are different. (you never know, both companies could be outsourcing to the same place). The tonal qualities are different also. Not putting one over the other, but the Monitors have that 'british sound', the open, maybe even slightly forward mids.....
They are a speaker to demonsrate how bi-wiring can make a difference, they really shine when bi-wired.
I only got rid of them because a killer deal feel in my lap on some B&W's, and at the time, I could not afford both. I gave Mark a very good deal on em, I hope he enjoys them for years to come.

Yeah they're mine now. Nice speakers. I haven't gotten a chance to listen to them in their full glory yet, but they each sound nice.Make it Funky!

Ok... I must be BEGGING to get flamed/trounced upon.
Here is the truth.
About ten years ago, I was being "conscious" of hidden sound.
So, I purchsed a set of Bose AM5-II speaker in white and hung them from the white ceiling. I put the bass module in the corner
(out of the way).
The speakers were expensive (way too expensive actually)... but, I thought what the heck.
The sound was neither terrible nor terriffic.
The bass was there. The direct/reflecting modules did fill the room with some sound. They sounded different than polks; but, not bad. I would compare their sound to a set of Baby Advent's that I snagged a few months back - again, a different sound.
Every speaker has its own character - even the old Bose AM5's.
I really like the punch sound of Polk's Monitor 10's and I like the imaging of Polk's CRS speaker. I also enjoy the sound of the RT800i's. What I am saying is that different isn't necessarily bad. Just different. I wouldn't trade my Baby Advents for anything. They aren't accurate.... but, they sound warm and pleasing.
Remember, music is art. It deals more with emotion than precision.
