Well i will start by saying-i really have no idea what im doing. Didnt do much research on Turntable Isolation. 1) i found a free butcher block table on Clist. 2) i cut it to a size that i think works with the temporary stand ive been using for 2 years now :( cause money is tight. 3) sanded it down a few times 4) put 3 coats of Danish Oil i had left over from another project. 5) let it dry for the night & slid it under the Technics tt this after noon when the wifey got home for work. Havent tried it yet cause she is studying college stuff & that means i be quiet :( So im looking forward to see if it helps (not that it didnt work well already) ive read some here n there it helps & it looks sturdy'r. So i probably have nothing to losez72vy35exoj6.jpg

I like what your doing Randy! let me know how it works out

I've tried a few things myself, 1 was to use some pangea sorbothane feet on my TT, and a music hall decoupling mat & a acrylic platter.638p2xtwz6w4.jpg

They recommend no clamp for the mat but I still like to use one on my LP's.

^^^^ What is the clamp for ? The Mat ? Not sure ive ever seen one. Or does it help on newer mat's ? Thanks for the feet idea. When i got back into tt's a few years ago i remember reading somewhere about upgrading the stock feet. Probably worth the cheap $$$

its just the weight or record puck that helps stabilize the record.bdwu8bi1e1as.jpg

the feet come in 2 sizes...did not think the clamp picture was that big.

put those feet under the butcher block. then put some smaller/same ones under the turn table. I have used Audioquest sorbathane feet for years under my CD player they work plain and simple. betting after you could body slam someone in the room and no skippy ...
