Pioneer PD-M403 6 disc CDP

picked this up free from a coworker, tag on the back says manufactured feb 97, LR analog outputs only. interesting, the disc loader can be used for an in car system or the home CDP. good deal for free? clean up and sell, or is this one a keeper? i have yet to try it out, kinda wanted to get some deoxit and clean up the contacts, and maybe a lens cleaning disc since the one i have wont work with it. Anyone have one of these units or something similar? thoughts and input greatly appreciated

    it has pulseflow D?A converter on it, is that supposed to mean that it has a decent DAC built in?

    If I remember correctly I had one and gave it to my parents when I picked up my Elite 53M years ago. It did a good job or should I say it did what it suppose to do. I moved up due that the 53M had digital ouput. The pulse flow was a way of minimizing skips I think, for it was a lightweight unit by the standards of those days.

    it is pretty darn light. so i take it its nothing to write home about? i'll probably still set it up, because i hate rotating out the discs in the 5 disc, so i'll just add another player

    sorry, didnt see the post count G,

    on another note, it works and sounds great, some music sounds better on it, george thorogood extended versions sounds awesome. the who, who better who's best sounded a little flatter, and with all of it i get a little white noise/static when the music quites down between tracks. i will clean the contacts once the de-oxit gets here, i am using som ethereal interconnects from A4L, the 12.8 foot ones, the are around 30$
