    I'd recommend trying some cables that fit your budget, just not Monoprice or Monster. Buying used is a good way to test the waters. There is also a company that rents cables, but I can't remember their name. You pay a rental fee that gets applied to the cost if you end up buying them, IIRC.

    I'm using a radio shack 4-way audio/video selector switch to relay my TV, Roku, and Nintendo signals to my AVR. The manufacturer claims the switch is designed for composite and S-video sources. Is this also a limiting factor in the audio quality of my system, and what would you recommend instead? Thank you.
