MOG users - thoughts about use

So after using Pandora for years, as well as iTunes with my iPhone I have decided to look at alternative methods of streaming music. After reading some of the threads about it, as well as talking to a couple folks (*cough* codyc1ark) I am thinking about taking the plunge into MOG.
Wanted thoughts from folks using it as far as how it works with the the iPhone app for streaming at work, on the computer itself, etc. Also wondering if it will let me plug my iPhone into my headunit (which works with them) and listen to MOG that way or if I will have to get a 3.5mm connector for it.
Some threads I have looked at include:

http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?128143-Who-uses-MOG
http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?151554-Streaming-services-compared
Anyway thoughts appreciated. Please keep it limited to MOG. I have been using Pandora for years and while I like it, if I want to listen to a specific artist or new CD I don't yet own, I cant listen to just that album. I am also limited with iTunes/My library by the size of my phones drive which isnt large enough for my current full library as it is. I am also aware of Rhapsody, but haven't looked into it too much. So needless to say, I am pretty aware of the other options for streaming and am looking for specifically MOG experiences/pro's and con's.
If you want to suggest an alternative program and why I should choose it instead, feel free to PM me with that info. Thanks!
P.S. Cody be expecting a call tonight about this

What if I only want to talk about Pandora and how great it is? You may or may not get me this evening, I'm thirsty and heading to a buddies place but I might come back after a bit if they bore me. Lots of if's, huh???
I thought they offered a free trial? -
I had MOG for a few months and liked it, especially since they were the first to stream 320kbps. However I switched to Spotify and like it a lot better, and they do 320 as well. I felt the MOG user interface wasn't as intuitive and it didn't have quite as many artists. That could have changed as this was about 6 months ago, but i'd get the free demo and try both before you decide.

Spotlfy does not have 320 on all tracks, keep that in mind. With MOG everything is 320 and sounds great.
I don't see how you can have a discussion about MOG without mentioning the other services though, hard to mention pros and cons of a service without having the context of another service to compare to.
Pros of MOG are the sound quality and good selection of music, the only Negative for me is there is no streaming app on the Oppo for it -

Yeah that was one thing I noticed. Spotify can do UP TO 320 but its not the standard for ALL music.AsSiMiLaTeD wrote: »I don't see how you can have a discussion about MOG without mentioning the other services though, hard to mention pros and cons of a service without having the context of another service to compare to.
Ok, let me clarify, feel free to discuss MOG and in the contexts of the cons of MOG mention other similar streaming services that perform that function better. Just dont launch into a 2 page response of why MOG sucks and service X is SOO MUCH better.AsSiMiLaTeD wrote: »Pros of MOG are the sound quality and good selection of music, the only Negative for me is there is no streaming app on the Oppo for it
And IIRC Rhapsody has a streaming app for the Oppo and as stated MOG does not. Correct?"....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
That's correct, Rhapsody has an app but is lower quality. MOG is better wuality and has no app, although it may work with the Roku stick they support.

The sound quality is great, selection is really solid. I don't have any problems with the interface. Squeezebox app is solid, as is both the android and apple apps. But the sound quality is the best part...just try out the free trial...Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es

No iOS experience with it but yes, there is a really great SB app and Android app. The only complaint I have with the Android app (I assume it's the same for their iOS app) is that it will not switch to landscape mode. Sucks because the mount in my car keeps my phone horizontal. Hope they fix that sooner or later--they've said they will.
There is no PC app (runs in a web browser) but that shouldn't matter if you have a SB or smartphone. I still use the browser player to listen while I'm on my PC, and for a browser-based app it's very well done. I would prefer a standalone app, but no big deal. The 320kbps really demolishes any minor arguments against MOG IMO.
Not sure how the iPhone connector works or what its limitations are, whether it sends analog or digital, and if it's digital, what the limitations on bitrate may be. Those seem like the questions you still need answered.
