I have just aquired a pr. of RTA 12's the ser# is 12 05960...any idea what series this are A, B, C etc....I think they were built around May of 1980.....if the date under the top crossover is correct, one tweeter has been replaced in 91, and I need to replace a MW 6501. Prob. worth it, as the speakers were free. Need to clean up the stands and replace the cover cloths as they are not the best looking. If anyone has any docs for these it would be a fun read, as the Polk site has nothing on the site for them, even in the OLD section.

I have a pair of RTA15's that I use for my mains and they are clean and powerful with a high current amp. I believe that the 12's were just slightly smaller. I just replaced the MW6502 drivers in one of them after a short. Polk rep via club polk was very helpful. The 15's have the tri-lam tweeter and I remember a review by Stereo Review quoting usable bass down to 21hz.
    I'd keep the 12's
