I need to erase a hard drive.What's best?

I have to send back a fairly new computer due to issues they cannot seem to repair.I have some personal info that may be retrievable to the right folks.What can I download to wipe this sucker??

    Bunch of different methods discussed here. Obviously you dont want to use the ones that require you to physically break the hard drive, but there are other options.

    DBAN.
    Magnets actually don't do much.. I've opened several drives and stuck them in a degausser and held magnets to the platters with no ill effect.

    A bullet works too.

    Shoulda got KYD service... you don't have to send back the hard drives.

    I thought the same thing but wasn't sure.
    I used DBAN AND Killdisc.
    When the smoke started pumping out I unplugged it.
    I think it's clean!
