Absolutely sounds better than the cd... All Zep does !!! I have 3 copies... 1 is worm to ****, and can't be played anyore... this version from '75 and the cd's. I think has been played about 15 times in 38 years.

I remember Henry Paul when he played with Outlaws... Those guys were 2 of the best contrasting guitarists in 1 band of all time. I have them here on vinyl somewhere.... But I lost track of Henry Paul... new he did some solo stuff, Billie Jones and Hughie Thomasson are both dead now(RIP) ... ALan Parsons always great stuff

Got that In the Court of the Crimson King, that Henry Paul Grey Ghost is his first solo Lp and a must have there is a couple on E-bay still. Don't get the CD though its pricey and sounds terrible.

I have three copies of Sgt, Pepper on vinyl. Original 1967 US Stereo, a decent British mono, and the 4th proof. I bought the other British mono just so I wouldn't have to play the 4th proof. British versions of the Beatles in mono vinyl, the only way to listen to the Beatles!

I have an lp on the Riverside label. It tracks from the label out to the edge of the lp. There aren't many of those out there.

I had a pristine Amos Milburn (Motown R&B) album. I never heard of the guy, so that's why I bought it. It book valued at $900.

One of my favorites is a red vinyl Japanese pressing of The Beatles - Rubber Soul in mono.

My outer sleeve was a bit warped when I picked it up used, but the record sounds like it was never played. The sonics are phenomenal... Highly recommended!

Have a lot of first pressings/promo copies, wrote record reviews in the 70's and 80's, and used to get records direct from the record companies as they were released. Still have lots of them and the sound quality is generally top notch which a few exceptions. Very recently picked up three rare sealed Bob Dylan albums from a friend/collector. World Gone Wrong, Good As I Been To You, and Time Out Of Mind. These were put out in the early to mid-90's when vinyl was "dead," and therefore originals are almost impossible to find. Also got a sealed Tom Petty Wildflowers for a song, which is very pricey sealed vinyl now.

Since everyone is talking about rare and collectible vinyl, I was wondering if anyone knows a good record price guide to get. I am getting back into vinyl and would like to pick up a record price guide to learn more about first pressings, prices, etc.

I sell used and rare books as a part-time business and have plenty of price guides and reference material on used/rare books but have no idea what kind of reference book to get for collectible vinyl.

Any suggestions?

My 'special' LP is a boxed set of The Band 'The Last Waltz' signed by Levon H., Robbie R. & Garth H. This was after the death of Richard M. & Rick D. Also during the time that Levon and Robbie had a falling out which makes it even more 'special'.

THAT, is a keeper. Out of all their lp's, except for "Ophelia" I disliked every song that Levon lead vocaled on, and loved everyone that Danko and Manuel sang.

Two copies of Bob Marley & The Wailers LIVE Pittsburg 9-23-80. Recorded live at his last concert performance.

The guy who sold me my Magnepan MG-Is threw in about 200 records and I found these in amongst them. They are in Near Mint condition.

The only thing that makes them priceless is that you cannot find one on the fleabay.
