help.trying to hook up a denon avr-2105 7.1 chl reciver to a pma-700v pre amp.

Can i hook my denon avr-2105 reciver to a pma-700v amp without frying the amp?i would like to use my remote to control the volume from my reciver.is7 this possable?

    It appears that the Denon PMA-700V is an integrated amp, so the answer to your question is no.

    Sorry about F1's response. He is in error.

    You can take the Pre out from your 2105 and go into one of the four audio inputs on your PMA-700V. You will be able to control volume from the 2105's remote.

    What benefit do you hope to gain by this daisy-chaining process ? Is there something in the integrated amp that is lacking in the receiver ? Both units are equally matched power-wise, so there is not going to be any noticeable increase in loudness. That takes twice as much power or a 3dB increase. Now, if the amp were at least 200 W.P.C. or more, and you really needed the extra power, the exercise would be worthwhile.
