So my wife and I are expecting our first kid (if you didnt already know :wink:) in the next two weeks. I thought I would share one of my latest projects, the Nursery!

Yes these are crappy iPhone pics because I dont feel like pulling out the better camera....

For those interested, the color scheme was all my idea (including the tree), the chair was a CL find by me as well for 80 bucks. The bedding was custom made by my wife grandma, and a bunch of other stuff.

    Still working. My office is right next door and its got my super sturdy daddy rocking chair in the main LP so I can rock her to sleep to LP's....

    Thinking about jocking John and putting a Squeezebox radio in there...

    Yeah, the rocker looks to be 1800ish due simply to a couple ques, the first being the workmanship, the second being that the bolts are hand made and square and a couple other tips....

    We might get it restored at a later date (there are some slight condition issues with the seat area)...

    Nice crib. Beware of teething.

    My wife insisted our baby boy deserved nothing but the nicest and most expensive hardwood crib/furniture she could find. Matching dresser, side table, the whole deal. Our crib can be turned into a bed for when our boy is older. Problem is, the crib now looks like it was fed to a beaver. Seriously, our boy gnawed off a substantial portion of the front and both side railings. Nothing but raw wood now. One morning we went into his room to get him out of bed and he had a big brown ring around his mouth. All I could say to my wife was "that comes from your side of the family".

    Having a child has taken my understanding of the concept of love to a level I never knew existed. Enjoy the ride!

    Keep the matress low enough that the beaver can't chew the rail. That's what we did and he barely has any marks on the rails. Harder on the back as they get heavier but kept our sons convertible crib looking like new....to date. We will do the same with our daughter, once she starts sleeping in her crib and can stand up.

    Lol not me. That one took about 6 months to do and made me realize how much I hate painting lol.

    you should make a DIY baby monitor, get a nice mic, a polk monitor, maybe a jr.(or else it wouldnt be a baby monitor), cable of your choice, and something to process from the mic tou your speker

    LOL, we cant, the doors are technically too large to fit in that opening level lol... trust me we tried :biggrin:.....
