Center speaker tweeter

I just hooked up my RM7600 Home Theater System to a Yamaha receiver RV2098 and my center speaker sounded muffled (voices). I checked my wiring and it appears to be correct, so I hooked up my Klipsch Forte's to the center channel and voices were crystal clear...my friend thinks the tweeter in the center speaker isn't working...any thoughts or ideas??? Please help...Music sounds awesome through my Polks though.

    I have heard that i na failed tweeter there should be some discoloration in the tweeter. Cup your ear over the tweeter you should be able to hear the difference.
    Wish I was a polkologist then I could call my self Dr.warviper.
