The Polk Subwoofer manual specifies that the MM1040DVC has a sensitivity of 86dB when the coils are configured in series to present an 8 Ohm load. Can anyone tell me the sensitivity of this subwoofer when the coils are configured in parallel to present a 2 Ohm load? I have a Rockford Fosgate R500D amplifier designed to operate cleanly into a 2 Ohm load. The Polk MM1040 with the single voice coil rated at 4 Ohms has a sensitivity of 91dB, and it appears to be mechanically similar or identical to the dual voice coil model.
