Maybe a dumb question but can you rip the 96/24 stereo mix off of the blu-ray into a WAV or FLAC format?

Very tempting, but, already have DSOTM & WYWH on SACD. This would be a litttle redundant for me.

Actually, that is a good question, and I do not know the answer. I have asked a version of that question, and never gotten an answer. What I wonder is if I can take the Blu-Ray high-res digital and run it into my DAC instead of using the Blu-Ray player's DAC.

Yep- obviously you need the appropriate hardware and software:

I personally have NOT done blu-ray, but have done DVD-A. What you do with it once it's ripped can be a bit of a pain, but if you're already into hi-rez audio on computer, then you've solved that.

Yeah, I had come across that the other day but hadn't actually read it all the way through. Here's another I just found that is specific to this particular box set.

In order to burn from a blu-ray drive I'm assuming just a readable drive would be OK?

I got mine the other day. Disc 1-4 had all become dislodged during shipping and were all scuffed on the playing surface. Evidently you can email EMI/Capitol and get replacements? (emiconsumer@emicapitol.com). Has anybody done this?

Yeah, obviously it's been a very common problem.
