Has anyone here got any experience with or read up on what the best passive 3D TV's are ?

I just bought a 3dtv but its active and although I enjoy it for gaming I just dont like it for movies. The only passive 3D set I have had a demo on is the LG W5600 and its great. Last time I nearly pulled the trigger on one and the price was $1900, Like all new tech it can now be had for $1300 these days. I was looking on amazon and vizo and toshiba now offer 3D in the passive form. I think passive is the way to go because there is no flicker and you dont have to do the whole lame thing with pass the 2 pair of glasses round when family pops over

My cousin bought the 47" LG passive 3D set and she and her husband are happy with it. They don't watch in 3D very often ..but it works well and you can just use the theater glasses ;)

I would get the LG. I use too do TV repair and I would not take a crap on the other two brands. Toshiba stops making parts for there's way too soon. Try telling a customer that the power supply is no longer made on there unit when its 14 months old.

I was seriously considering the toshiba till you said that bud. The model I was looking at from toshiba had skype and wifi built in http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-55TL515U-55-inch-Natural-LED-LCD/dp/B004MFDL3C/ref=sr_1_7?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1327628922&sr=1-7

The fair rate of the LG TV's has been fairly low as of late. If you get the Toshiba get a 5 year warranty with it and read the fine print.

I have 2 LG tv's right now and one of them is a 3D so it might be a smart move to go for another lg. After doing some reading tonight some people say that the passive tech inside these toshiba models has been licensed from LG. I am really hesitant about going with a vizo passive 3D after a member on the forum posted a report about one guys vizo going out and they would not even fix it and he was advised to just go buy a new one

The issue with vizo is getting parts takes forever if you can get them.
