Ok, first we need to know the full model number. Second, what are u using this with and for? What is the associated equipment, room size, music or movies, etc. Then perhaps folks will chime in.Living Room 2.2: Usher BE-718 "tiny dancers"; Dual DIY Dayton audio RSS210HF-4 Subs with Dayton SPA-250 amps; Arcam SA30; Musical Fidelity A308; Sony UBP-x1000es
Game Room 5.1.4: Denon AVR-X4200w; Sony UBP-x700; Definitive Technology Power Monitor 900 mains, CLR-3000 center, StudioMonitor 350 surrounds, ProMonitor 800 atmos x4; Sub - Monoprice Monolith 15in THX Ultra
Bedroom 2.1 Harmon Kardon HK3490; Bluesounds Node N130; Polk RT25i; ACI Titan Subwoofer -
That is the full model number. This is HKs new 2000+ dollar integrated amp, I believe it is a 150 watts x 2 and fairly well built. I have the companion CDP...the HD 990 which, at its price point, is pretty good. I cannot speak to the integrated because I have not heard that but the "reviews" have been favorable although I would add that I think 2000+ is a bit much for that unit feature wise!
I doubt they will sell many for 2000-2500. But if they had offered it in the 1200-1400 dollar range they may have had more "takers". They set their price point too high because there's a LOT of great gear available for $2500 or a bit more!

As stated that is the full model #. When purchased would be used with KEF xq40's. 2Ch. only room approx. 14x14 (open stairwell).
CNH it can be had for $1599. now -
Again I haven't heard this particular unit. But I'd probably consider biting if it were 1500 or less and I had the cash on hand which would put it in the NAD C375 and the Cambridge Audio Azur 840A price range--good company!
I like the HK sound (in general) and think it would probably pair well with KEFs!

Again - if you don't mind buying used:
Nice price for the Cambridge 840A- seller has good rating (no affiliation):

Another plug for the MF 3.2:

With either, you'd have plenty of coin left over if your budget is $1500 to buy some good quality interconnects and music to enjoy the setup.
H9: If you don't trust what you are hearing, then maybe you need to be less invested in a hobby which all the pleasure comes from listening to music. -
Why is that HK model so expensive? What makes it sooooo much better than the HK-3490?

Look at the insides:

That's a different architecture and 20 more lbs of weight with DUAL toroidal Transformers, etc.
