I heard yesterday that wool is an excellent dampening material. I have a bunch of old wool sweaters that I don't wear anymore. Thinking of stuffing them in my speakers. Is this nutty?

I dont think you should do this.
Go to a craft store and pick up some Polyfill- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
HeHe,raw long fibre wool(not knitted sweaters)was the damping material of choice with old school trans line builders back in the pre polyester, acoustic foam, rockwool days.Apparently moths loved it too.I heard yesterday that wool is an excellent dampening material. Put the sweaters to a GOOD use......... donate em to a clothing drive/Goodwill, etc.
