TV Placement question (Room rearrangement)

So my current setup has an audio tower on the left, and my TV stand on the right. Speakers are on the outsides of everything (I can see all your heads shaking now)

What I am looking at doing is mounting the TV to the wall to gain space underneath, thus reclaiming the top shelf of my stand. The center channel is just too large to keep centered, as there isn't enough room on both sides once centered for any other components.

I'd probably go CS2/SC-37 on the top (looks nice as they are the same height), then pictured, I've got the Oppo and PS3 on the middle, and my Dish 922 and the PF60 on the bottom.

The question I've got for you guys is this: Should I put my TV where I "have" it in my new setup, or should I raise it up to the red line in the picture? Red line is roughly 6'4", seating position is 13 feet back.

(Don't worry - that speaker won't be floating on the couch afterwards either. Forgot I put that there and lost it, so I created another one. lol)

Wife just got home, and I told her that I was busy while she was gone. I think I let her hopes down when I told her I was busy planning on what I was going to do with all my stuff. lol

She likes the idea of having the TV higher as well. I just wasn't sure if that would look odd, or if I should go with the "fake stand" look and keep it all clustered, with the TV just floating instead of actually standing.

I'll probably order 2 mounts from Mono later today. I bought myself a cheapie Dynex TV as an early black friday deal at BB. Got a 37" for $230. Great for my poker room downstairs. Although, before I buy, anyone know what the difference/preference is between the single, center mount or the longer cross-stud mount? Here is the one that I'm looking at http://www.monoprice.com/products/product.asp?c_id=108&cp_id=10828&cs_id=1082806&p_id=8587&seq=1&format=4#feedback

Wondering if there is a difference between the $60 on I'm looking at and the $20 ones that mount to a single stud, and are on the single artoculating arm. My preference is to bolt this thing down in as many places as possible. Guessing I'm on the right track, but let me know if I'm missing something

Find out where your studs are before you buy a mount. Sometimes, the position of the studs make it hard to center your TV where you want it depending on the mount. Longer mounts allow you more flexibility in positioning for inconveniently placed studs.

I think its personal preference really. I know a lot of people mount their TVs high on the wall, but me, I don't like it. I don't like to have to look up to watch TV. Even just a small bit of angle can be tiring on the neck if you are watching a movie or something. I center mine at eye level. The tweeters of my speakers (aside from the center) and the centerline of the TV are all on the same plane. That's how I believe it should be.
