Just curious if moving up the OPPO chain to the new 95 model would be worth the coin. This would be mainly used for playback of BD & DVD's via 7.1 analog. I'm not too concerned with it's analog playback. It's because of OPPO's use of the new Sabre DAC's that peaked my interest. I just don't know if the 95's audio on BD & DVD's would be that much more noticeable compared to the 83 model. Also the 95 has 3D capability just in case I ever get the urge. I'm just thinking out loud here. What do you think?

The 95 is a killer on movies and let your curiosity try the 2 channel playback:evil: -
Not worth the extra coin. Spend it elsewhere in my opinion.

I'd get the 93 and a receiver that handles HDMI. It's a huge difference from analog.

I don't think you'd notice much difference, especially using it for movies. I had a 95 in the house for about a week, and sitting next to my 83 I could not hear a difference on movies, or even the concerts I have on BR. I didn't compare 2 channel playback because I have a SB Touch and external DAC that sound better than either player anyway.

Let's not forget better bass mngt and independent speaker settings, And does anyone here believe in burn in:eek: I'm sorry but one week? I had improvements in sq for up to 500 hrs.
