This movie is definitely worth the purchase if you're into the horror/suspense genre. Good twists...not too cliche if you ask me. I think the effects and sound were really good. Kept me and my girlfriend on the edge of our seats the entire time.
Halle Berry is lookin' a little tore up in this flick...so if you're going to buy it just for her you best pass this one up.
Great movie either way!

Just watched Gothika. Overall, it was a decent movie. A couple of times it scared the doo-doo out of me, so you can rent it if that's what you like.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

The Rundown shook the house! Major league bass; Dolby had its at together on this DVD - great sound all around."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

I also liked Gothika, but I liked it better the first time I saw it, when they called it The Ring.
Gothika was very similar in concept to the Ring. It also had a close similarity to The Cell (with Jennifer Lopez & Vince Vaughn).
Other than that, it was a solid rental.Bob Mayo, on the keyboards. Bob Mayo. -
Pretty good movie, worthy of the rental fee. A few plot twists that might catch you off guard and a number of scenes that will make you sit up straight in a hurry. Overall I'd give it 3.5 out of a possible 5.
