With that kind of money. I would go with seperate amp & preamp. I like parasound, but thats just my opinion. Parasound halo a21 runs 2300 us new, with a parasound halo p3 preamp 850 us new. Or if thats too much. Parasound 2250 runs 1350 us new, with parasound classic 2100 preamp 650 us new. Or look at carver, mcintosh, adcom. Alot of choices in your price range. Even more if you look at used.

YES I AM. I seen your other thread with the emo. Thats a 5 channel amp. The sub you have is a powered sub. It has an amp built into it. What are you useing for a preamp.

We might have a comunication problem. Your from UK. In USA an amp is just to power speaker. Preamp controls everything. I think you might be looking for what USA calls a reciever.

Now I understand. You want to get a receiver that you can hook the rest of your components into. Pick one that has all the features that you want it to have.

What you call an amp we call a receiver, they are two DIFFERENT components.
