I have 3 DVD players and one Cd player, all of which have never had the lasers cleaned. one is from 1988 and I'm sure it needs it.

I know a lot of you folks own some High-end equipment/Cd players and was just wondering which one you've tried.

If this is one of those "they all work" things just lemme know

As long as they're working as they should I'd leave them alone!

ah ok then sounds good. I've read some reviews that say they leave the players not working at all so staying away sounds like a winner to me.

The other day the dollar store they were selling laser cleaning discs. It was a CD with 2 small brushes mounted to it. I think it came with a small bottle of cleaning fluid. Maybe you should try one.

NO!! Don't, they can actually ruin it permanetly, I've seen it too many times, those things should be burned on a turntable

On older transports, the usual cause is the laser dying or the sled mechanism failing. Unless you're a heavy smoker and have tons of dust and debis around them, they rarely get dirty enough to not read a disk. Just my 2 nickels.

haha, I got Stuwee, like I said there are many a positive review on them but the negative ones are what deter me from getting one bc I have a Denon DVD2800, Magnavox CDB482 both I use for music and a Pioneer DV-578A and I really don't even want to chance it. Like I said, was just axin:loneranger:
