I've used a similar product called Walker SST. Same idea with microscopic particles of silver suspended in a food grade oil medium (canola oil IIRC). My experience has been positive when using on RCA IC's/outer sockets, power cords, internal speaker connection ( the push on type per Polk) etc.

But you have to be very careful with it. If you apply it in a sloppy way, you can easily bridge signal and return, positive and neutral, etc. You only need to used a very thin coating.

I've been hesitant to use it on tubes for my linestage for this reason. The damn pins are too close together!

    Good info . . .

My thoughts are that long-term it might harden, collect dust/grit/etc., but I'm probably overthinking it. I just thought I would put a feeler out there to see what others have learned.

I have it and have used it. However, I never did an A/B comparison as I applied it to new cables. So, I cannot say it makes an audible improvement. The downside is you will manage to get it on things, gear/speakers, where you did not intend to apply it. Also, it is hard to get on XLR pins on both the male cable and male connector.

I use either DeOxit Pro-Gold or the MFSL contact goop. Both are most likely snake oil, but I have a perception that they do something positive.

I hear you dkg999,the perception that something does or doesn't work is a huge factor in why folks like or dislike things. My opinion, nothing more.

I was thinking it may not produce audible gains, but would protect connections that are made once and then untouched for long periods of time. but if it's messy I'm not so sure I want to go there.

I have a saved search in my eBay account that shows me all returns for "Mapleshade" every day because I'm always looking for their record cleaning and anti-static products andthat's how this turned up. I'm always interested in experimenting, but like to get opinions first.
