Ever wonder what kind of thermostat Apple would make?

I read about this somewhere earlier (can't remember where though) - then I came across it again in another forum. Really looks interesting.

I've checked out some home automation, with the wireless door locks and thermostats that lower the temp when you arm your alarm, etc. But I was always turned off by the extra "connection" subscription fee that was involved. This actually looks pretty interesting.
Might have to replace my riteTemp in the near future.

I think it's a cool idea (looks great) but $250 is a lot for a thermostat. Maybe I'll wait awhile.Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p
Amp = Carver AV-705THX 5-Channel
Processor = NAD T747
Panasonic BD35 Blu-Ray
Main = SDA-1C Studio with RD0s, spikes, XO rebuild, rings, I/C upgrade
Center=Polk CS10, Surround = Athena Dipoles, Sub= Boston 12HO
Music/Video Streaming = Netgear NEO550
TT = Audio Technica -
The question is what's the payback time for the extra 200 smackers or so it costs compared (e.g.,) to the Honeywell programmables I've been using for years.

Knowing Apple's control freak mentality you would probably only get to set the temp. You wouldn't be allowed to run the cool/ off/ heat switch or the auto/ fan on switch.AVR: Onkyo Tx-NR808
