Anyone ever encounter a AV-in situation (RCA, Yellow/Red/White) that caused a receiver to stop working/shut itself down? When i use HDMI, no problems, when i use audio only, no problems, but when i have RCA video going to the unit, it intermittently shuts off and the blue light stays on, it won't power off and i have to unplug for 30 seconds and plug back in. I thought maybe an issue with one of my speaker cables but inspected all, no problems and under HDMI will play for hours and under audio only is fine, just happens when i have the RCA video in working . . .

I have not tried a second video in yet to see if maybe it is simply that input alone.

That would be a good place to start.

Yep, and also check the cables, a bad cable can do that sometimes. Another thought is you have to setup that particular input in the menu, so something may not be right. What exactly are you trying to connect ?

It is the output on the dish box, probably replace it soon and make it a moot point and use HDMI, but it seems to be tied to the video alone. I will probably invest in some new cables today and try that and also a different input.

I thought the dish box would have HDMI for better video quality. Surely you would want one with component or HDMI.
