I just upgraded from PE vsx-91txh to the PE sc-37 (got an amazing deal on it...BB miss marked it for $450 open box, so i got another 10% for being open box and then the guy knocked another $50 off because it was missing the sc-37 remote, but he gave me the remote for sc-35 which works just fine, so i ended up getting it for $350.) I wanted the sc-55 but couldn't turn down this price.
My speakers are as follows:
Front - M70
Center - CSI2
Surround - M40
Sub - PSW505

I ran the MCACC, and it set my speakers for all large. Which is the best setup? All large? All small? Large fronts and the rest small? Sub set to yes or plus?

ps. I will be upgrading to all RTI A7, CSI A6, FXI A6 and DSW Pro 660wi soon, just waiting for my friend to buy my old stuff.

    WOW!

Congrats, and you're going to love the Rti's when you get'em!!!

To answer you're question: there's no right answer; everyone likes different noises. The fun of this hobby is to play around and see what sounds good to you. Experiment, see what you like.:cool:

That said, I usually like to run all large, when I can, and the sub set to LFE + mains, which I guess would be the "plus" setting; I'm not familiar with the Elites.

    Have fun!!!

As some one stated, you should experiment. There are a couple methods of thoughts or best practices I've heard of.

You can try a THX setup which is when you set all speakers to (SMALL) with a 80Hz crossover.

Secondly, since your getting RTi A7's with CSi A6 center and FXi A6's, your can try running the front RTi A7's (LARGE). Then run the center and rear speakers (SMALL) with 80Hz crossover.

NOTE: Pioneer Elite SC AVR's use a universal crossover which means that when you set it, all speaker set to (SMALL) will use the same crossover setting.
    Fronts: Polk RTi A9
    Center: Polk CSI A6
    Rears: Polk RTi A7
    Receiver: Pioneer Elite SC-35 (140 watts x 7)
    Amplifier: Adcom GFA-555 Mk.II (200 watt @ 8 ohms)
Sub: Polk DSW PRO 500 (10 inch, 200 Watt)
    TV: Samsung 59 inch 3D Plasma 600 Hz PN59D7000

Run full auto MCACC and set the speakers to small with a 80 Hz crossover. One thing though, MCACC does not EQ the subwoofer so if you need that done go with a standalone unit like the Anti Mode, SMS-1, BFD, or SVS AS-EQ1. Go here for help with the setup http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?t=1112470 and follow the info on the 1st page. Once done, all should be excellent.
