Wire Guage and more

Spend what you're comfortable spending and have fun with it. Are there improvments when you move up the lines, yes. Does everyone really need some of the performance gains if they are not that serious, no.
Just buy something that is well made and will last. Signal is great, made here in the USA and doesn't cost a ton of money. I've never had an issue and will easy do custom work if you need it and didn't cost very much for anything custom either.
If your happy with lamp cord so be it. Not sure why those who have never tried anything higher than lamp cord must comment. Doesn't really answer the OP's questions besides the fact you don't know because you never tried it. -
:biggrin:I love cable threads !!!!!!:biggrin:If you can't hear a difference, don't waste your money.

Get yourself some good 14 Guage speaker wire for the time being. It will take the rest of your life to figure out all these cable treads....and in the meantime, you can listen to your system. Worked for me.Home Theatre.............

Who needs exotic cables when you can have this...and don't knock it until you've tried it right?

One man's opinion. The guide prepared by Roger Russell is a good reference to use.

Bigger is better even w/short runs, especially w/low impedence or very reactive speaker loads.
