Onkyo NR609 in the House

This just landed as a replacement for the venerable Denon AVR-2500. The left channel has been giving me some grief, so out with the old, in with the new. This will be running the bedroom HT setup.

    Acording to home theater's review the power doesnt drop off near as hard when going from a 5.1 system to a 7.1 system. Maybe they upgraded the built in amp / power supply in the TX-NRxx9's

    The bedroom setup is only 5.1 so no worries trying to drive 7 channels. The amp isnt much heavier than my old denon though.

    My sr608 couldn't handle 7.1 to save it's life, so it's nice to see that they have improved the power output on the newer series. I do like the user interface A WHOLE LOT. Simple, clean, easy to use and understand. Thumbs up on that!

    Yea that is all I am saying. By home theater's specs the amp and or power supply looks to have been upgraded.
