I wasn't thinking it'd be 600, but that would be fine by me. The heavier and more-inert it is, the better.

The 3 5400's and PR's is 320lbs just by themselves. Maybe not 600lbs but it'll be close. Can't wait to see the finished product, the drawings look outstanding.

Have you considered talking to Elemental Designs on building your enclosure?

+1, great CS and they'll build whatever you want. I should have my enclosures from them in a couple weeks.

    I really like ED...

I may get them to build a box in the future for my sub.

I wish I had the time and the caliber of tools to make a real nice box.

Oh yeah, grey and leroy, I'm adding you to my sub bozo list, along with Jim, Trey, and Don. Good luck with that.

 I'm only using one 5400 and two VMPs. Three would be nice and all, but that's just a little much, lol.

And all of you guys can count on an invite when it's done. I promise you it will be worth your while. Combined with the towers I'm making, this will be one sick system.

Edit: I think where you're getting confused is that they're all front firing, which I wanted for the all-business look of three 18" cones. While this is rather unconventional, Thilo Stompler himself assured me that, with as heavy of an enclosure as I'm designing, it wouldn't be an issue.

lol - Your house is going to be leveled when you turn it on.

It would be the equivalent of the earth no longer spinning.

I've got a local cabinet maker buttoned up that I'm working with for future suprises, I might share if you REALLY need it Jim, but he's mine all mine at the end of the day. Possibilities are endless.

Haha well when I get a bigger place and upgrade it to include a second 5400 and two more VMPs, that's a distinct possibility.

I've already got two carpenters who specialize in furniture at my disposal, along with their workshops, but it never hurt to have more connections.
