New to me at least! Just brought home a GFA-2535 and GDC-600. The person I got them from didn't know anything about them, so I'm not even sure if they work. I've skimmed the user manual and need to print it, but I'm not sure not sure that it'll make a difference from my SC-25, any input?

Seems like the player has some good word around the net on it. Great afternoon! Going to go hook up the player right now!

Alright guys, I've had the gear up and running for a few days. I can say I am more the pleased with the amp, I was a little concerned that it spec'd out at 90w @ 4ohm, and how it would stack up against the amp in my SC-25. Wow is all I can say, so much more impact and definition than what I was getting before. I guess my next step is to find the 200x2 Adcom and run 9's off of that, but in due time, I'm very happy with the way its sounding now. My only concern with the amp is that there is a good amount of dust on the inside, caked on everything. I'm going to assume that who ever owned this amp before me sat in a 5x5 room with tunes rolling and chain smoking eight hours a day, damn this thing is dirty. Should I pull the case and attempt to spray it down with compressed air, or do another method of cleaning, I just don't think the canned air will do the trick.

Now on to our problem child, the GCD-600. I'm having skipping issues on new disc's, not all of them, but it's very random, as well as some static. I opened the thing up, I'm getting some awful motor noise. Everything is very clean under the hood, so I don't think dust/dirt is the issue at hand. I air canned everything I could lightly, and this seemed to get rid of my static issue, but skipping still presents itself. I've read on line that I should get some silicone based grease and squirt some into the bottom of my motors, that carbon buildup could be causing my issues. Any thoughts on that? The Cd's that do play sound outstanding. I did a bit of A/B/C with the iPod, PS3 (as a player), Adcom and there are certain differences, so I'm stoaked about having my first real CD player.

Alright, I'm done quizzing and ranting, back to actually using the system, and not writing about it.

Glad the amp is working out for you. Its always fun to switch gear and see what happens (good or bad)...

Call Adcom service center or Adcom Customer service. One of them should be able to help. Sometimes skipping can be corrected by cleaning the lens with a CD made for that purpose. Like I say sometimes it works sometimes not.
Glad to hear the amp is working out for you. I have an Adcom 7500 five channel hooked up in my HT. Much impact on my B&W 803s.
